Couch surfing house guest visits for 2 nights, confuses host with his requests: 'No one wants to be your mom'

It may be awkward, but you've got to know when you've overstayed your welcome. This dude is about to learn that he's couch-surfed for a few days too long, as his friend and host explained. 

True friends will always be there for you in your times of need, showing up in ways big or small. It might be as simple as sending a "checking in" text to see how you're doing. Or it could be bigger gestures, like bringing you your favorite meal and dining together to cheer you up. Then there are friends like this person. They let a friend stay with them after he separated from his wife. Breakups can be utterly devastating, so having friends by your side is crucial. 

But this guy is acting kind of odd. It seems like he wants this person to care for him by cooking or telling him when to wake up. If he's trying to hint at a romantic relationship or something, he's not doing a very good job, because his friend is now really put off by his pushy attitude.

    Another note to add, I am currently doing intermitted fasting, and only eat between 7am and 3pm, so I dont even prepare dinner, so he can't share any of my food.

    He then got frustrated when he had no "real" food to eat, because he has not bought any food. I suggested doordash, which he asked me to order for him. I told him to order it himself. He sulked and went to his room.

    Today I am working from home. I heard him get up just after 10ish, and he came storming out "why didnt you wake me, I am late for work" he then ran out the door.

    I am not sure if he is just completely clueless about looking after himself, or its stress from his marriage breaking down. Hopefully he is in a better mood when he gets home, otherwise I don't think he will be staying here much longer.

    It's only been two days, let's hope this person can hurry him along without too much of a fuss

    pomegranatepant... I sure hope you had him sign some kind of a lease agreement on paper before this blows up into a whole thing and you have to give him notice to evict him
